Aged for at least 3 years in special oak barrels, Cognac's quality is strictly rated and labeled directly on the bottles. Very fine Cognacs claim to be comprised of grapes only from a specific, very small area of Cognac called Grande Champagne. Cognac is drunk alone or sometimes used as a final ingredient in elegant French game and meat dishes.
