Condensed milk

Cooking Recipes Catalogue

Condensed milk is whole milk from which approximately 60 percent of the water has been removed, resulting in a concentrated flavor and thick consistency. Although similar to evaporated milk, it cannot be substituted for evaporated milk in recipes. It is sold in cans.

For other types of milk, see buttermilk, evaporated milk, nonfat dry milk, and sweetened condensed milk.
