This saucy topping combines brandy with raisins, mandarin oranges, prunes, peaches and pineapple. Serve over ice cream, or on any dessert.
INGREDIENTS (for 6 servings):
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup mandarin oranges
- 1 cup pitted prunes
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- water to cover
- 1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks
- 3/4 cup brandy
In a large saucepan combine raisins, mandarin oranges, prunes, sugar and water to cover. Simmer over medium heat until syrupy, about 10 minutes.
Stir in peaches, pineapple and brandy. Store in refrigerator.
