Chess Pie I

Classic and simple, this pie is dependable and delicious. Sugar, butter and eggs are creamed together, along with vanilla and cream. Then the mixture is poured into a 9-inch pie shell and baked.

INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):


  • Cream sugar and butter or margarine.
  • Add eggs one at a time, and mix well.
  • Add cream and vanilla to this mixture, and blend well.
  • Pour mixture into 9 inch pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, or until set and brown on top.
