A heavenly convergence of whipping cream, butter and Parmesan cheese cooks down effortlessly into a velvety, classic Alfredo sauce. You may never go back to the store-bought variety.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
In a medium saucepan combine whipping cream, butter or margarine, and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook over medium low heat until smooth. Remove from heat. Sauce will thicken upon standing.
