This traditionally flavored savory stuffing is a breeze to make in the slow cooker. This leaves plenty of oven space for your main dish.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 servings):
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon leaf sage, crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons HERB-OX® Chicken Flavored Bouillon Granules
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups water
- 12 cups dry breadcrumbs
In large bowl, combine butter, celery, onion, spices, bouillon, eggs and water together. Add breadcrumbs and stir to blend. Place mixture in slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 45 minutes; reduce heat to LOW and heat for 6 hours OR cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
For a drier top, remove lid during the last 45 minutes of cooking.
