This pie makes its own crust. No special preparations or bad crust problems.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Beat in the egg. Mix in the cinnamon, salt and flour; stir until smooth. Fold in the apples, then pour mixture into a 9 inch pie dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for one hour. The pie will make its own crust.
