A blackberry pie is flavored with a subtle blend of spices and maple syrup to make an unforgettable summer dessert.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1 recipe pastry for double-crust pie
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups blackberries
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Press one crust into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
