Bring the left rope underneath the center, then bring the one at right under the new center rope. Continue out each direction from the center until done. Press the ends together, turn under, and pinch to seal.

Create a glossy finish by brushing the bread just before baking with a wash of egg yolk and water. A soft pastry brush won’t damage the tender surface of the dough.
