Granny Smith apples work well in this recipe.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 servings):
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup apples - peeled, cored and finely diced
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 8 x 8 inch pan.
In small sauce pan, melt butter or margarine over low heat.
Pour into mixing bowl and combine with other ingredients, mixing well.
Pour batter into pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
