This recipe is for a healthy whole wheat bread that just happens to taste good, too -despite the absence of sugar and the reduction of salt and fat.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 servings):
- 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
- 1 cup skim milk, luke warm
- 2 tablespoons warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
PREPARATION:
Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select lightest setting; press Start.
