This is suggested as a topping for hotdogs, as served at Coney Island in New York. It includes ground beef, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, and chili powder.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 servings):
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
In a medium skillet over medium high heat, saute the ground beef for 10 to 15 minutes, or until well browned. Break up with a fork until fine. Add the water, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, chili powder, monosodium glutamate and salt. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes, or until heated thoroughly.
