Hard boiled eggs are served in a creamy sauce of milk, butter, flour and cheese. The cheese is optional, and you can use any kind you prefer.
INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings):
- 8 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour; when thoroughly blended, slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Stir in cheese.
Pour sauce over chopped, boiled eggs.
