This yeasted cornbread gets a little zing from a dash of hot pepper sauce in the batter. This version of cornbread is even easier than most others, because the bread machine takes care of everything.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 servings):
- 1 1/3 cups warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
PREPARATION:
Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select cycle; press Start.
