The quantity provided in a box of stuffing mix is increased by the addition of eggs, and chunks of white bread in this recipe to stuff a 10 pound turkey.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 6 ounces dry bread stuffing mix
- 10 slices day-old bread, torn into small pieces
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup water
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter or spray one 2 quart casserole dish.
Prepare stuffing according to directions on box; place stuffing in a large bowl.
Add the dried bread, eggs and water; mix well and place in casserole dish.
Cover and bake 45 to 60 minutes.
