These nutty treats are sweet and chocolaty. Currants, dates, pecans and honey are blended into a dough, and formed into candies.
INGREDIENTS (for 2 servings):
- 1 cup currants
- 1 cup chopped pitted dates
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 2/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting
PREPARATION:
In the container of a food processor or blender, combine the dates, sunflower seeds, pecans, raisins, and cocoa powder. Transfer to a bowl, and stir in honey. Press into 1 inch balls, and roll in confectioners' sugar. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
