Just saute okra with onions and turmeric, and you've got a delicious side dish in minutes.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1 pound fresh okra, sliced in 1/8 inch pieces
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric
PREPARATION:
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and saute onion until translucent. Stir in okra and turmeric. Reduce heat to low and cook 15 minutes, or until tender.
