This sausage, which uses ground turkey, is nicely spiced with garlic, sage, allspice, thyme and cayenne pepper.

INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):

PREPARATION:

  • In a bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients; mix well. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Shape into eight 1/2-inch-thick patties. In a large nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, cook patties for 4-6 minutes on each side or until juices run clear.


  • Nutritional Analysis: One patty equals 111 calories, 5 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 45 mg cholesterol, 348 mg sodium, 6 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 10 g protein. Diabetic Exchange: 2 lean meat.
