A tasty dipping sauce for artichokes that combines chicken broth, lemon juice, garlic powder, and prepared mustard, thickened with cornstarch.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
PREPARATION:
Pour broth and lemon juice into a saucepan, and set over high heat. Stir in mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and water. Pour into boiling mixture, and stir well. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer until sauce thickens.
