A biting mixture of chili sauce, curry and mustard gives this baked chicken plenty of gusto.
INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings):
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 12 ounces chile sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 5 pinches curry powder
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the melted butter/margarine, chili sauce, lemon juice, salt, mustard and curry powder. Mix well.
Place chicken in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish and pour mixture over chicken. Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes or until tender and juices run clear.
