Toss hot pasta with chopped walnuts sauteed with garlic and a handful of crumbled blue cheese for a rich and pungent dish with a very interesting crunch.
INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings):
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 pound uncooked spaghetti
- 1 clove garlic, minced
PREPARATION:
Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat oil in heavy skillet. Add garlic, and saute for a few minutes. Stir in walnuts, and saute for several more minutes.
Drain pasta, and divide into 2 plates. Top with saute and blue cheese.
