Broiled sandwiches with a twist, these peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be a hit with the entire family.
INGREDIENTS (for 8 servings):
- 1/2 cup butter
- 16 slices SARA LEE® Soft & Smooth™ Whole Grain White Bread
- 8 tablespoons JIF® Crunchy Peanut Butter
- 8 tablespoons SMUCKER'S® Preserves or Jam, any flavor or combination of flavors
PREPARATION:
Preheat broiler. Position oven rack approximately 6 inches from heat source.
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of 8 slices of bread, jelly on the other 8, and combine to make 8 sandwiches. Arrange all 8 sandwiches on a baking sheet.
Broil sandwiches 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.
