Crushed tomatoes simmer with garlic and dried basil for a quick and easy sauce.
INGREDIENTS (for 6 servings):
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
In a large skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in oil until tender, 2 minutes. Stir in basil and crushed tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and cook 15 to 20 minutes, until slightly thickened. Serve immediately.
