Cubed stew meat is done in a slow cooker along with onions, cider vinegar, tomato paste, and sloppy Joe seasoning mix. This recipe can also be done with venison.
INGREDIENTS (for 6 servings):
- 2 pounds chuck roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 (1.3 ounce) envelope sloppy joe seasoning
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
PREPARATION:
Place the beef, onion, tomato paste, water, sloppy Joe seasoning mix and vinegar in a slow cooker.
Cook on low setting for 10 hours OR on high setting for 5 hours.
