Spicy Butter Cookies are great with coffee or tea throughout the year. This cookie is easily shaped by rolling the dough into balls, then flattening with a fork before baking.
INGREDIENTS (for 2 servings):
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- dash salt
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Nutmeg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
PREPARATION:
Beat together butter, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in flour. Chill 60 minutes.
Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheet. Flatten with fork.
Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
