A molded dessert made from sweetened cream and sour cream.
INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings):
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 1 pint sour cream
PREPARATION:
In medium saucepan, heat cream over medium heat until bubbles form at edges. Stir in sugar and salt. Remove from heat and set aside.
Sprinkle gelatin over cold water to soften. Stir gelatin mixture into sour cream; then stir sour cream mixture into sweetened cream. Pour into a small mold and chill in refrigerator until set.
