Light and dark dough and a spirited pesto filling come together in this rolled loaf. Make several diagonal slashes on the surface to offer a peek at the colors within. Slice the bread and serve with soup or salad for a light lunch.
Placing Doughs
Set the lighter colored dough rectangle on a floured surface. Lay the darker dough on top, matching sides and corners. Spread with pesto.
Cutting Slits
Use a sharp, thin-bladed knife to make diagonal slashes along the top of the dough. Cut deep enough to penetrate both layers of dough.
